Meet Maira
Leadership that listens
"My campaign is about showing up, listening and taking action."
Maira is an educator, a community advocate and a mother of two. She has spent more than 18 years in public service in Mission, and she knows what local families, neighborhoods and businesses need.
She is running for families, responsible growth, safe neighborhoods and thriving small businesses, with a City Hall that stays open and answers to the people of Mission.
The plan
Maira's vision for Mission
Local business and growth
Small businesses keep Mission's economy going. Maira will back local entrepreneurs, cut needless red tape and make it easier for businesses to invest and grow here.
Safe, strong neighborhoods
Reliable streets and drainage, strong public safety, and growth matched with smart investment, so every neighborhood keeps a high quality of life.
Active, accountable leadership
Transparency should be how City Hall works every day. Maira will keep an open door, hear from residents directly and handle every tax dollar with care.
A new vision for a stronger, brighter Mission
Families come first. Small businesses thrive. Neighborhoods are safe, and City Hall is open and accountable to the people it serves.
